My Story

It was just about a year ago that I decided to go to pastry school.  I'd like to say it was a decision I thought long and hard about, and it's been my dream since I was a little girl, but that was not the case.  I went to college in Green Bay, Wisconsin and majored in Communications.  With degree in hand, I moved to Louisville, Kentucky basically for a change of scenery and went on the job hunt.  Three years and no degree-requiring job later, I found myself miserable, working as a bartender, and still trying to figure out where my life was going.  After some contemplation, I realized that I had been working in a restaurant for about 12 years, and perhaps that was where I should focus my efforts.  I had heard of a cullinary school in town, and decided to check out their Hotel/Restaurant Management program.  After touring the bakery I decided, hey, it's time I try out something I really enjoy and see where it takes me.  And so I enrolled in Sullivan University's Baking and Pastry Arts program.
